    Job Description
    Leduc Regional Community Connection Centre: Life Skills Program Coordinator
     
    This is an opportunity to make a difference for individuals of modest means needing support in Leduc and District. You would play a key role in the development and implementation of activities for people in need and support them as they work towards improving their lives.   
     
    Position Summary: Reporting to the Executive Director of Leduc and District Food Bank, the Life Skills Program Coordinator is responsible for the successful planning, developing, implementing and administering of the Life Skills Program within the Leduc Community Connection Centre.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop, implement and evaluate educational, recreation and social/emotional skill building programs
    • Engage with program participants, staff and volunteers
    • Provide input regarding programming and recommend changes to enhance the program.
    • Recruit, train, and support volunteers
    • Implement a program for participant intake
    • Seek out community partnering opportunities and innovative opportunities to implement programs and engage participants
    • Create promotional mechanisms for programming and events
    • Operate programs within the approved budget and collect and manage data and records
    • Investigate potential funding opportunities and develop funding proposals
     
    Qualifications:           
    • Experience with working with vulnerable populations
    • Experience in program planning and implementation
    • Experience working in the not for profit sector (preferred)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database software
    • High ability to manage flexible working hours
    • Exceptional organizational skills and adaptability
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills
     
    Position Details:
    • One-year contract (with the possibility of extension), starting as soon as possible
    • 24 hours per week, flexible work hours.
    • The position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found
