Join us at the Leduc Recreation Centre, all 3 arenas for the competition. The Alberta Figure Skating Foundation is hosting their 30th Annual Wild Rose Competition being held August 6th through August 8th, 2010 at the Leduc Recreation Centre in the City of Leduc. Last year the event involved over 500 skaters from various clubs throughout Canada. In addition, over fifty friends of figure skating volunteer their time to make the event an enjoyable experience for everyone.
This year we are hosting a "Gala Night of Stars" Ice Show on Sunday evening to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. We have special guests, Vaughn Chipeur (Olympic Senior Men Competitor) and Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje (2010 Canadian Senior Dance Team Bronze Medalists), skating and autograph signing during our event. There will be a Meet and Greet immediately following the Gala Night for our guests, dignitaries and sponsors. We are promoting the development of our athletes as some of the podium medalists will be taking part in this Gala. This should be a very exciting weekend for all involved. | |
